Tamra Rosanes was born and raised in U.S.A.

She started her professional career in 1972 as a folk singer . Throughout the 70`s she recorded and performed with various groups: vocal groupFLAIR(with among others Sanne Salomonsen)which recorded three albums produced by Hank B. Marvin - guitarist in the SHADOWS -country group THE PACK (with Niels Tuxen).

In the 80`s Tamra was a member of the big band BLAST, and also sang backing vocals with many of the prominent groups of the decade(. Thomas Helmig, Nanna), and throughout her career has sung backing on more than 500 albums.

1981: Tamra performed in the rock musical "HAIR" in Denmark.

1982: Tamra performed in the rock opera "The Odyssey"

1985: Tamra won song contest "Husets Rock Grand Prix" with her song "Mean Streak"

1987: released the pop album TAMRA 22 (Harlekin Records)

1988 Tamra co-wrote the music for the musical "Den R¿de Linie",which played at Bellevue Theater and toured Denmark.

In 1989 she started a country group ONE NIGHT STAND BAND and developed her talent as a country singer.

In 1991 she started series of country albums on the EMI label, with Poul Bruun as producer.

Gentle Fire,(1991)Good Times,(1992) Footloose,(1993), all were nominated to Danish Grammies .

1993: Footloose received a Danish Grammy for Roots Album of the year.

In 1995 Tamra performed and recorded a live album with the DANISH NATIONAL RADIO CONCERT ORCHESTRA "With Strings"(EMI/Medley and ELAP).

In 1996 Tamra recorded an album in Nashville, Tennessee, with Cowboy Jack Clement as producer(see Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame website), and sang a duet with legendary John Prine (see John Prine official website).

In 1999 Tamra recorded and co-produced an album with S¿ren Bundgaard for CMC records(a part of the EMI group)"Pleasure and Pain", mixing all time country hits , for example "Ring of Fire", "Blue Bayou", "Help Me Make It Through the Night", and some of her own songs, for ex. "It Was Only You". The album included a duet with the incredible voice of Dr. Hook, Dennis Locorriere, and reached #9 on the Danish pop charts, which is a great achievement for a country album in Denmark.

In 2000 Tamra released the album "LIKE I LIKE IT" on CMC Records , which consisted of entirely her own songs..It is nominated for "ROOTS cd of the year 2000".

In 2001 Tamra produced the vocal supergroup "COWGIRLS" CD with Rock stars Sanne Salomonsen and Lis S¿rensen, the album sold platinum and was nominated for a Danish Music Award. The group is currently touring Denmark throughout the summer of 2002.

Throughout the last 10 years, Tamra has performed live extensively with a band and with a duo.

She has performed at major festivals in Denmark (Roskilde, MidtFyn, etc.) and throughout Europe.

Tamra has been active as a songwriter, for her own projects, as well as for other artists. She has written lyrics for among others: Niels Lan Doky, Michael Learns to Rock, Tommy Korberg, Maria Montell,Sanne Salomonsen, Ming Doky, C¾cilie Nordby, Bo Stief, Bamse, Dario Campeotto, Zindy Kuku Boogoloo and Cowgirls.

Tamra has co-written songs with among others: Rick Giles, Layng Martine. Jr., Brant N. Miller , Ivan Pedersen, Poul Krebs and Noah Rosanes, and has participated several times in the international songwriters workshop project "Song Island", and has spent time in Nashville songwriting.

Tamra released a new CD for the CMC/EMI label in September 2002 entitled: "COUNTRY PARTY", a collection of country hits including "Let Your Love Flow", 9-5, Jambalaya, "Rose Garden", and the title song "Country Party" written by Tamra.

In 2003: Tamra released a compilation cd ”COWGIRL IN LOVE” consisting of her most popular songs throughout the last 12 years plus two new hits written by Tamra.

In 2004: Tamra worked in Oslo with the producer and musicians behind troubadour/priest Bjørn Eidsvåg on an album of American Folk songs, including, among others, “ Shenandoah”, “Where Have All the Flowers Gone”, “Last Thing on My Mind”,and  “Red River Valley”.

In 2005: Tamra participated as a TV hostess in a musical quiz program series  on Danish television. These programs will be viewed in spring 2006.

In addition to her concerts in theaters, clubs and  outdoor festivals; Tamra performs a Christmas repertoire in Danish churches around the country and church concerts throughout the year.

In spring 2006: Tamra released  the “LINEDANCE PARTY” cd which was on the Danish hitlist charts . She is presently touring with a band, and a duo and also  teaches some of the line dances to the audiences.
In October and November  2006, Tamra will tour with Carlene Carter and Charlie McCoy.
Tamra continually dedicates her energy and work in promoting  the country music genre in Denmark and Europe.
