Jake Hooker (born Jerry Mamberg, May 3, 1953) Is an Israeli born Musician. He was the Guitarist for the Rock/Pop band The Arrows. His family moved to the United States when he was a child, but Jake moved to England to pursue his Adult life. Now Jake currently lives in Los Angeles,CA.

Career

Jake Hooker was one of the Founders of the 1970s Rock/Pop group The Arrows. The band had several hit singles produced by Mickie Most and a weekly TV series on the Granada ITV network, The Arrows Show.
The highlight of his musical career was co-writing the hit song "I Love Rock 'N Roll" with fellow bandmate/ lead singer Alan Merrill of The Arrows. The song is an accepted international rock classic. The song was also an international hit for Joan Jett & the Blackhearts who played a Cover Version of the original song.

Current

Currently a Los Angeles based rock music manager and entrepreneur, Jake retired as a musician in 1978 when The Arrows disbanded, after marrying actress/singer Lorna Luft on Valentine's Day 1977, and becoming her manager. They had two children, son Jesse (b. April 1984) and daughter Vanessa (b. September 1990), and were divorced in 1993.
